An intro to cycle-syncing
Aligning your food, movement and rest with the four inner seasons of your menstrual cycle.
Menstrual (day 1–5) — winter
Iron and warmth. Slow-cooked stews, dark leafy greens, red meat if you eat it, root vegetables. Move gently — walks, restorative yoga.
Follicular (day 6–13) — spring
Light, fresh, energising. Sprouts, fermented foods, lean proteins, seeds. Energy is rising — a good time to try new workouts.
Ovulatory (day 14–17) — summer
Peak energy. Raw foods, colourful salads, plenty of water. High-intensity movement lands well here.
Luteal (day 18–28) — autumn
Complex carbs and magnesium-rich foods steady mood. Sweet potato, squash, dark chocolate. Strength training over cardio. Sleep becomes sacred.
